Software engineer & engineering manager

People, products,
platforms.

I like working
where they meet.

These days,
I’m at Ambrook.

I lead Platform Engineering at Ambrook, where we’re making sustainability profitable for American agribusinesses. The work helps farmers understand their businesses and build a more resilient future for their families.

My job crosses code and people: shipping products, working through architectural changes, and building tools that help everyone at Ambrook move faster.

A few things I’ve helped ship,
alongside a very good team.

Writing

On engineering, judgment,
and the human side of software.

Also, a person.

Minnesota → Boston → Denver.

Road bikes, ski days, and an unreasonable amount of hope for Minnesota sports. I care about the climate, good craft, and solving real problems for real people.

Before Ambrook, I spent eight years at HubSpot building products and founding teams focused on performance and reliability.

A fresh set
of eyes.

I also work with teams on reliability, performance, observability, and the hard parts of scaling software.
